How to Write a Love Poem (February-March-April 2026)

  • Love poems need not be just about love. They can also be about anger. They can be about the hurt of not having been seen for the complexity of who you are: anger & tenderness & love.

January 18, and 25. February 1, 8, 15 and 22. And all the Sundays of March 2026. Timings: 10 am EST to 12 pm EST. Which is 3 pm UK time to 5 pm UK time. And 8:30 pm IST to 10:30 pm IST.

  • A love poem can be a break-up poem. It can be a letter to a lover, or a parent, an animal, a country. It can also be a letter to a flower. A dream you’d to bury to survive. Or a TV show that keeps you laughing on your worst day. A love poem can be a political poem. Ways someone could love you, & still hurt you. A love poem can be a poem about desire— how it snakes around your throat.

  • This February: we will write love poems that are raw & real & messy. That grow teeth, or can bite. You’ll make a fire with your hands. You’ll learn how to keep yourself warm. You will write in multiple forms— ghazal, villanelle, haiku, dream fragments. You’ll write for yourself, or send work for publication. You will learn to be loved & held with care.
