In this writing workshop, we won’t fight our grief. We’ll let her be our mother.
This workshop is for anyone who wants a vessel. A safe space for all your feelings.

How can grief teach us to be a child again? What knits grief & laughter? In this workshop, we will let grief be our mother. We’ll re-imagine grief as a child. A starfish. The eye of a snake. A dog running through a green field. We’ll hold space for opposites: grief & joy, grief & laughter.

Write with your human AND wild animal senses. Write a poem that lodges in your Beloved's heart. Tango with your grief. Tuck her into bed at 10. Kiss her wings. Learn to be free. Particularly after years of performing for someone else’s validation. You’ll trust your own voice. Your instincts + creative goals. Learn somatic writing exercises + body-focused processing tools to help you get “unstuck”, especially when you feel frozen.

Think of each poem you write as a dialogue with who or what you can't touch. Whether that’s someone else, or a younger version of yourself. A bridge you're building towards them.
